In the News: STI Program Manger selected to be on local AFCEA Advisory Board Mr. Reginald Adams, STI Program Manger for the southeast region, has been selected as the Program Director for the Warner Robins Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). Mr. Adams will be responsible for planning the monthly program activities and selecting guest speakers for the monthly meetings. AFCEA is an international, non-profit, and non-partisan association for Information Technology professionals in Government, Industry, and Academia. Their roots date back to the U.S. Signal Veterans of the American Civil War, and AFCEA itself was founded in 1946 with the consolidation of several similar associations after World War II. Today AFCEA boasts over 130 chapters around the globe, and serves over 30,000 members and 1,200 corporate sponsors worldwide. STI is heavily involved in other chapters of AFCEA including the Wright Patterson (Dayton), and Oklahoma City. STI also maintains a corporate life-time membership through the operations office in Tulsa, Oklahoma. STI Establishes Oklahoma City and Washington D.C. Offices STI recently strategically expanded it’s operations into both Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Washington D.C. in July 2007. The purpose of the Oklahoma City office is to develop strong partnerships with Tinker Air Force Base, the Federal Aviation Association, and other business providing information technology support services to federal and commercial entities. The focus of the Governmental Affairs Office is to provide comprehensive and specialized knowledge in an increasingly complex political environment. STI has access to leaders and opinion makers in Washington and around the country. We keep open communication channels with this network, helping our clients to build and manage ethical relationships. The broad and diverse background of our staff affords us the ability to work with leaders on both sides of the aisle. STI Establishes relationship with OAI The Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI) has partnered with STI Technologies to develop information assurance initiatives and establish a secure, biometric, advanced aerospace information integration system. OAI is a state-wide joint initiative of the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, NASA Glenn Research Center, 10 public and private universities granting doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering, and aerospace companies including large commercial firms through small businesses. OAI's mission is to improve Ohio’s aerospace economy through research and technology partnerships, education and training, and networking/information exchange. It is a private, non-profit organization that works on collaborative projects with both state and federal entities. STI will develop the information assurance and biometric initiatives to enhance OAI's quantified Intelligence for the Aerospace industry via OAI members, in order to integrate the skill sets and capabilities. STI Presidents Gives Keynote Address to Dayton Area Students Dr. Alvin E. Hall, Sr., President/CEO of STI Technologies, Inc. addressed a group of college-bound African American Students at the annual Black Database Application Programmers 19th Annual Student Information Technology Education Scholarship (SITES) Banquet held at Sinclair Community College, Dayton, Ohio. On June 8, 2007, Dr. Hall’s speech titled “Success Centered Leadership”. Each of the students participated in a 10-week database technology orientation program that taught them to specifics of data structures, database design, and implementation. |
