STI-TEC supports U. S. Army Field Artillery School

Dean Neitman news

STI-TEC expands its support of the U. S. Army to include the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Field Artillery School and U. S. Army Fires Center of Excellence (USAFCoE) at Fort Sill, OK.

STI-TEC provides senior subject matter expertise and input in support of the development, testing, fielding, employment concepts, and life cycle management of critical new precision, near precision and area fires munitions program for the TRADOC Capability Manager Brigade Combat Team Fires (TCM BCT Fires) program.

Advancement of precision munitions and the reduction in the number of howitzers and rocket launchers in service coupled with operating in environments with collateral hazards make it necessary to reduce target location error. With respect to precision munitions, ‘close’ is not good enough. Continual advancements in the development of precision munitions have allowed commanders at all levels to achieve the desired effects on a target with the minimal number of munitions while minimizing the risk of collateral damage.
